Winter Sunrise

14th January 2012
There have been several times when I have thought about trying to capture early morning photos, never turning thoughts into deeds! Well, that wasn't the case this morning. Perfect weather conditions of winter sunshine, frost and even the promise of early morning mist were enough to finally put thoughts into actions.

Driving over to the local nature reserve, I passed by this scene which was enough for me to stop and risk not capturing the pictures I was expecting to get at the reserve.

This scene is less than a mile from my house and one I should return to if similar conditions are forecast. All that is missing are a few sheep in the field standing near to the feeder to give almost a perfect composition.

Having taken this photo, I did continue on to the nature reserve where I did capture some further sunrise photos. No mist or orange sunrise, but winter frost and some great light.

Lesson learned - I need to get out of bed earlier, more often!
